Book NowAbout THE SPOT ON MELBOURNE
North Adelaide locals drop by this Melbourne Street haunt for fragrant beef noodle soups, crisp rolls, and proper espresso. Inside, retro Saigon cafe vibes meet a warm bar counter hung with Vietnamese pendant lamps. Neighborhood regulars swear by the Chả Giò—wrapped in traditional rice paper rather than standard pastry sheets for a deep, brittle crackle. The kitchen turns out aromatic beef fillet pho alongside lunchtime bun bowls piled with crackling roast pork, or plates of grilled lemongrass chicken maryland come evening. Outside, dog-friendly sidewalk tables let you linger over flat whites or banh mi without missing a beat.
- Rice Paper Spring Rolls: Cha Gio spring rolls arrive wrapped in traditional rice paper rather than standard wheat pastry, delivering an extra-crunchy bite.
- Hybrid Cafe Counter: Pours smooth flat whites and specialty espresso alongside breakfast rolls and full Vietnamese lunch bowls.
- Dog-Friendly Alfresco: Outdoor sidewalk seating lets diners linger for coffee and lunch with four-legged companions in tow.

The pho was flavourful, and the Bun Cha Ha Noi (my fav) was incredibly delicious.
ntt. Duong Traditional crispy rice paper spring rolls
Unlike standard wheat flour rolls, the Cha Gio uses traditional rice paper wrappers to create a noticeably crispier, lighter crunch.

Cha Gio spring rolls
The spring rolls were amazing, too. They were just appetisers, but unlike spring rolls made by wheat flour sheet that most other Vietnamese restaurants or Chinese restaurants do, their spring rolls were called Cha Gio, made by traditional rice paper wrapper which was very authentic and offered more crispy and crunchy for each bite.
Pat Chung Bánh mì
The coffee is great, and it's home to the best Bánh mì in Adelaide.
Oliver King Rare tender beef fillet pho
I love the rare tender beef fillet pho in noodle soup (Standard - $18.9). There were quite a lot of soft and delicious beef fillet slices, and the broth was so good.
Pat Chung Banh xeo
I highly recommend the banh xeo dish, a Vietnamese-style pancake that's a new addition to their menu. It was super tasty and perfectly crunchy.
