About Red Cacao

Down an unassuming corridor in leafy Stirling, this cacao workshop delivers Adelaide Hills travelers serious, bean-to-cup chocolate indulgence. Tables hum on chilly mornings, warmed by spiced Aztec cups, wattleseed blends, and complimentary confection tastings on wooden boards. Weekenders drop by for made-to-order waffles, savoury leek frittatas, or a buttery croissant filled with chocolate shards that melt on contact. Out in the dog-friendly courtyard, lattes arrive alongside single-origin truffles, while shelves near the door stay stacked with take-home slabs.

  • Single-Origin & Spiced Hot Chocolates: Spiced Aztec blends, wattleseed infusions, and up to 100% cacao drinks poured alongside complimentary confection tastings.
  • Waffles & Café Bites: Fresh-to-order waffles, chocolate-stuffed croissants, leek frittatas, and savoury bakery bites.
  • Courtyard & Retail Chocolate Shop: Leafy outdoor seating welcomed for dogs, paired with an integrated retail counter for house-made truffles and bars.

Before you head over

Practical advice on timing, accessibility, and ordering for your visit

  • Plan for Busy Market Sundays

Sundays during local Stirling market days get especially crowded; expect peak queues and limited indoor seating during these times.

  • Accessibility & Layout Navigations

While the outdoor courtyard has ramp access and step-free flat paving, the indoor chocolate retail corner and interior restroom corridor have narrow turning spaces.

  • Customize Cacao Strength

Hot chocolate strengths can be customized from half-strength to bold 100% cacao or spiced variations depending on your caffeine and richness tolerance.
