Those after an Adelaide classic can split an AB snack pack loaded over crisp fries. Snag one of the outdoor footpath tables along the side street and grab a spiced melomakarona biscuit from the counter on your way out.

The Staazi & Co Advantage

Why diners choose Staazi & Co for authentic plant-based Greek street food

  • Hearty Plant-Based Greek Yiros

House-crafted plant-based lamb and chicken mimic the charred texture, seasoning, and succulent bite of traditional spit-roasted meats, paired with authentic warm pita bread.

the seitan "chicken" and "lamb" are succulent and filling with a great charred flavour, and the meals are generous with tomato and red onion. The pita bread is both fluffy and chewy.

  • Authentic Garlic Tzatziki & Classic Flavours

House-made dairy-free tzatziki delivers the punchy garlic profile and velvety consistency expected in traditional street wraps.

I absolutely loved the flavour from the tzatziki, with the red onion was giving everything you could want from an authentic Greek yiros.

  • Fulfilling a Lifelong Greek Food Craving

Lifelong vegetarians and plant-based diners can experience genuine Greek street food without compromising on ethics or diet.

I have been vegetarian my whole life and I’ve seen countless mouthwatering gyros in front of me that I’ve never been able to try. Finally, a place that does it and does it SO WELL.

  • Remarkable Meat Replication

The texture, mouthfeel, and seasoning of the vegan proteins consistently surprise diners who cannot tell the difference from animal meat.

I literally CANNOT believe this isn't real meat!!! Whoever developed these has done and EXCEPTIONAL job making the texture and flavours of the plant-based 'lamb' and 'chicken'

  • Crowd-Pleasing for Non-Vegan Diners

A fully vegan Greek spot where omnivores and fussy eaters thoroughly enjoy the meals without feeling like anything is lacking.

My partner is a fussy eater and is not vegan but he also loved the food here. Their 'meat' is very tasty and is a close enough replica to the real thing.

  • Ideal for Introducing Friends to Plant-Based Eats

Welcoming, inclusive venue to introduce skeptical friends and family to satisfying plant-based dining.

Highly recommend bringing non vegan friends here if they’re new to vegan food. Staff are super friendly and accommodating.

Helpful pointers on seating, amenities, and ordering at this Greek vegan street food spot

  • Plan for Takeaway or Limited Seating

Seating inside is limited to bar stools and window ledges, with a few tables outside along the street, making it ideal for quick casual bites or takeaway rather than formal group dining.

  • Check Restroom Facilities Beforehand

The shop operates as a compact quick-service counter without customer restrooms on site, so plan handwashing or bathroom stops beforehand.

  • Try the Combination for First-Time Dining

Whether you are dining solo or introducing skeptical non-vegan companions, the house combo options let you sample both plant-based lamb and chicken proteins wrapped with chips and tzatziki in grilled pita.
