Rumi Palace delivers deeply comforting Afghan cooking built around slow-cooked meats, fragrant rice, and crisp dumplings. Tables fill with generous platters of fall-apart lamb shoulder and spiced chicken skewers straight off the grill. Regulars make a point of ordering the fried mantoo alongside steaming pots of cardamom tea. Saffron ice cream topped with fairy floss rounds out the meal.
