Hazelwood Park gets a rare taste of Gilak cooking at NAAZ, where Caspian herb profiles anchor slow-cooked stews and bright mezze. Diners gravitate to regional plates like Aloo Mosamma, slow-cooked lamb shank Baghali Polo Ba Mahiche, and jewel-topped Morassa Polo. The kitchen takes plant-based dining seriously with a dedicated vegetarian sini alongside dips like Kalekabab. Between courses, the dining room stays calm enough for unhurried conversation, capped with saffron ice cream and hot tea.

For dessert we ordered Bastani (3 flavours of traditional Persian ice cream) and Khoshkar (rice biscuits with walnuts, cinnamon, cardamom and sugar served with hot saffron syrup).
