Where should we pause between Adelaide Airport and Kangaroo Island?

We will rent a car for roughly ten days in December, may spend one or two nights before the island ferry, and want a few Adelaide city days afterward.

    Check the booked ferry departure, vehicle rules and drive time before choosing accommodation. Keeping the same rental car on the island can simplify luggage, but compare the full cost and rental conditions first.
