Can we get around Adelaide and nearby wine country from Christies Beach without a car?

We will stay south of the CBD and want city outings and a visit to McLaren Vale.

McLaren Vale's cellar doors are spread out; compare a booked tour or local transfer with buses before promising yourself several stops.
